Walking and Wondering

I try to walk everyday with Max.

Walking and wondering go together.

I’ve often thought that if I could download my thoughts, I could write a best seller. I don’t have much sit in me to get the words out.

A few things that was wonder worth this morning.

I wondered if someone would stop and chat. Once in a while someone will pull alongside and have a short convo – a lot of nice people out there. Every once in a while, someone just sails by without moving over an inch. Not so nice.

I walk past a field of horses. I never see anyone riding them and I wonder if they would be happier if they were ridden or do they just enjoy the life of luxury they are provided.

A new neighbor’s lawn is getting quite long. I would love to offer to mow for them but don’t know them well enough. I wouldn’t want to offend them but if they are struggling with time or something else, I could help.

I wonder when the finches will show up and walk with me. The wild flowers/weeds along the road are slow growing this year. Too cold perhaps.

I watched several geese fly over while walking this morning. So much to wonder about. Are they going back to the same place they were last year? How many remember each other? Do they enjoy the flight? Do they argue over who is in the front position and for how long?

Who else traveled this road 100 years ago? Was it here then?

Who lived along this road? Were they happy?

Then I wonder about what to do with my time left on this earth. What really can a person do that will make much of a difference?

And on and on it goes.

What wonders invade your thoughts?
